Zane's Upcoming Birthday!

Well, hello there. I hope you all enjoyed the SuperBowl. A bit one-sided of a game, but if ever Tom Brady needed to show he's the GOAT, that was the time. Nicely done, Bucs!

So, now that the BIG football day has passed, we are gearing up here at #MakeZaneBetter for his Zane's BIG birthday coming up! 22 years old! So, please, help us make this one super special...send him cards of cheer and love!! Can you take a moment to do that? We have had some come in already. I've told Zane we will open everything on the 18th. So, there's still time.

Medically, speaking, I wanted to update everyone that the pain he was experiencing last week in his hip is GONE. Lasted about 24 hours so I am very relieved about that. I think he managed to do what his momma does all the time...pull a muscle doing absolutely NOTHING.

Thinking back o Zane's past birthdays, we always celebrated EPICALLY. He would determine a theme and I would set off to make it happen. There were themes of Star Wars, Spiderwick, Scavenger Dash, Tie-Dye Hippie, Rock Band Jam, and more. One that came to mind today his 8th birthday was in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia in 2007. Even through it was over an hour away, Zane and his elementary school friends and parents came for pizza, ice cream and an incredible spooky ghost tour! Our guide was fantastic and she had those kids (and us) hanging on her every word. She could tell a story, lemme tell ya. And we were engrossed. The tour was historical and fun as well. But, it did end with a bang (literally) in a graveyard and you never saw kids scatter so fast like rats on a sinking ship! Ha. Good times. Here's a few snaps from that super fun night!
