Seizures Yesterday, Rest Today

YESTERDAY

Morning. Asking for your prayers and good vibes. Zane has had a fitful night, followed with more seizures this morning. Have had the paramedic team here and docs on the phone. We've decided to keep him home and manage the seizures here since the hospital can't do anything for Zane any longer. A team of qualified eyes are on him and he's settling down for now. #MakeZaneBetter

UPDATE. We were able to stop Zane's seizures with Ativan and calm him from home. We did not go to hospital. He’s been stable since. Starting to come awake again and hoping the rest of the day is less dramatic

TODAY

Hi everyone. Quick update here. Zane is stable again after yesterday’s seizures. He’s home and comfortable but he won’t be up to going to the bowling alley on Saturday, I’m afraid. He’s having bouts of respiratory distress and all that will need to be managed with oxygen and meds at home. He had a chest X-ray last night (pictured) to check for pneumonia and we will have his doc here with her practitioner in a couple hours to discuss more.

We will still carry on with the #MakeZaneBetter Saturday plan and support our Zaner! If anyone would like to organise a home visit, contact me and we can work that out individually and keep Zane comfortable in a less hectic environment. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Oh. And the raffle pot is just over $500 (and growing) now. More shirts arrive tomorrow and we’ve got loads of wristbands now..
