Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Today is the day Zane was supposed to be born. February 14th was my due date, but he wanted to stay in the oven 4 extra days (Zane has never been in a rush), so February 18th is his birthday. So, don't forget to send him a birthday card! There is still time!!!

A few things happening here at #MakeZaneBetter. You probably saw that Zane started with a new PT gal on Friday. He tolerated the session well and we will be pushing him harder and harder as we move forward. The Fire Vase auction is open for 4 more days and we have our next donated auction item so I'll be making that announcement later in the week and when that auction opens, it will run through the end of February. https://www.32auctions.com/mzbfirevase

I've been making some progress with getting Zane a PET scan to be sure he's fully cancer-free right now. His original neurosurgeon's office has been a great help and we should soon be connecting with his original neuro oncologist (before we went to St. Jude) and with that team following Zane medically again, things should happen. I'm also undergoing another review for a Medicaid waiver soon which might put us in better position to get some home health care assistance. So far, all the care assistance we've had has been out of pocket. Zane does get a CNA 3x a week with hospice who helps me bathe him, and an RN pops in 2x a week to take his vitals and brings meds and supplies, but that's it. Hoping I can get approved to get some regular care assistance in the week.
