Hello Zaner fans! We are now home again from his second round of chemo. We were on the 3rd floor inpatient this go round - the jungle themed floor where Zane chose blue as his "therapy color." (Typing this, I realise now he was channeling Elvis for the King's birthday yesterday)!
So far, so good. We have new meds should the nausea start up (and it likely will) and that might combat those yucky days ahead. The headaches are still an issue and we keep trying things and hopefully we will get the right balance there. He's super fatigued today, but we've got a full day ahead of lab follow-ups, so we will have to push through!
Next week Zane will undergo a whole new round of scans (MRI/CT/PET, etc) and we will reassess where his disease is and if more preliminary chemo is necessary or if we can rewind to the original plan of 4-6 weeks of radiation, followed by some months of chemo TBD. So, please keep Zane in your thoughts and prayers.
