Chemo in Outer Space

Hey Zaner fans! So, we've been getting calls, messages and texts for an update, but wanted to focus on our inpatient stint and the chemo treatments. They are now over and we are back in our temporary housing. We spent two nights in St. Jude on the Outer Space 5th floor (each floor has a theme - see photos).
Zane did very well with the chemo. He was delivered 2 rounds of 3 types of chemo over two nights. For those of you medical/oncology types or cancer survivors or those with general inquisitiveness, he had Etopiside and Cyclophosphamide on Night 1 and Etopiside and Carboplatin on Night 2. They would deliver these in the late night/early morning hours so it was a chill time to receive the meds. He did not have any vomiting and only a slight bit of nausea this evening. He is eating regularly and mostly just sore from getting his Smart Port Tuesday evening.
Plan is recover from all that's gone on these past weeks for the next 21 days. He will focus on other therapies in the meanwhile, then do the chemo rounds again as inpatient. More scans will follow to see where things are and sort out the rest of the game plan.
So, let's keep Zane lifted in prayer and good juju! #MakeZaneBetter #StJudeLife
